Young German producer Marius Lauber appears to have found the key to success. With his Roosevelt project, he skirts the line between dance and pop so seamlessly, that any distinction between the two genres is unfathomable. His debut-EP, ‘Elliot’, came out on Greco-Roman Label, co-owned by Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard, and Marius is working round the clock on his first full-length. So you can expect plenty of new songs when his the hypnotic grooves of his live-set transport you to a hazy, nostalgic wonderland. (bij Best Kept Secret HQ)

There’s much to love about Dutch duo Bombay Show Pig. There’s the incessant, garage-rock stomp, the call-and-response riffs, and a healthy dose of the blues. But this is no sloppy, fuzz’n’distortion outfit – singer and guitarist Mathias Janmaat has a keen ear for melody, while Linda van Leeuwen does so much more than just batter her kit into submission. When required, they still rip through songs with passion and drive, but their heartfelt pop sensibilities set them apart from their thrash’n’bang peers. (bij Best Kept Secret HQ)
Few bands have managed to sustain anticipation and excitement prior their first album as well as Factory Floor, but then few bands specialise in such visceral, thrilling music. Described variously as post-industrial, underground disco, and synth noir, they’d gained a sizeable following and much acclaim with a series of EP’s and twelve-inch releases prior to their debut proper – and it didn’t disappoint. Thundering drums, twisted drones and dissonant shards of noise make them one of the most compelling and unmissable live acts today. (bij Best Kept Secret HQ)
